WeiEn Weng (翁帷恩) is a high-school student, founder, and independent software developer from Chiayi, Taiwan. In 2025 he founded Teyra LLC to build small, honest software — designed and shipped by hand. PhotoPainter, a native photo editor for iPhone and Mac, was the first product; WebberUI, a React component library delivered as source code rather than as a download, has been live since July 2026 and is the current focus.
Two of his projects are notable for what he refuses to claim about them. LastChat carries messages between phones with no network at all — Bluetooth mesh, animated QR, a colour protocol he designed himself, and Morse over a flashlight — and is feature-complete with 418 passing tests, but he will not call its radio channels verified until they have run on two physical devices. ShrinkML, which turns a company's own documents into a model that runs offline on its own hardware, is built and tested and deliberately unreleased: the release gates he wrote for it require independent review a one-person company cannot honestly supply.
His background is in competitive robotics: multiple seasons of FIRST LEGO League and FIRST Tech Challenge, and captain of Team Taiwan at the 2022 FIRST Global Challenge in Geneva. He holds certifications across Microsoft and Google Cloud AI, and works today across Swift, TypeScript, Python and on-device machine learning.
